To use the TMC function, set the Country and Station of the RDS-TMC
first. (See “RDS-TMC Setup” on page 103.)
About the TMC Information
The TMC Information can be displayed on the map. To set the
information to be displayed, see “RDS-TMC Setup” (page 103).
TMC reception condition indicator
The indicator colour changes with the TMC reception conditions.
Yellow: The system is scanning for available TMC stations
and there is no event received.
Green: The system has been connected to an available
TMC station, or there is one or more events received.
TMC event icon map display
The received TMC event icons are displayed on the map.
The icon colour changes reflecting whether it is on the route or not.
Colour icon: The event icon is on the route.
Gray icon: The event icon is not on the route.
The event icons can be displayed on the map when map
scale is 20 km (12 miles) or less.
Traffic event arrow/line map display
The arrows/lines display the distance between traffic
events. These appear in red, orange or blue, depending
on the status of traffic event.
When map scale is 2 km (1 mile) or less, traffic event
lines are displayed, and when map scale is 100 m (100
yards) or less, traffic event arrows are displayed.
